A Percussion Pistol by Calabresi

Description: Block of two over-and-under, octagonal, micro-grooved, 15 mm cal. barrels joined by the silver rib, on top with a silver front sight and sighted tang. Backward spring locks with blueing, provided with hammers chiselled in the shape of hound head, the plates engraved with floral pattern and signed "CALABRESI" on the right and "A MILANO" on the left. Walnut fluted butt. Mounts from white metal, butt-plate with fine, relieved floral pattern, trigger guard with dog. On the right side of the pistol is the brass-tipped wooden ramrod, held by two straps. Italy, second quarter of the 19th century length 26 cm, condition 1-2
