Infantry Officers´ Sabre 1861 Model, off-duty variant

Description: Single-edged, curved blade with fuller on both sides and central point. Nickel-plated outside (traces of corrosion). Manufacturer´s mark Weyersberg, Solingen on inner side. Wooden grip covered with fish-skin and bound with twisted silver wire. Iron hilt. Strip S-shaped knuckle-guard merges into symmetrical counterguard. Two slots for sword-knot in rear. Steel plate scabbard, two lockets with eyelet and fixed ring. Nickel-plated outside (partly outwear). Austria, second half of 19th century, length 95 cm. Condition 2
