A small-sword with chiselled iron hilt

Description: Double-edged, straight blade with unilateral central rib and central point. The rib chiselled in flame shape, on the obverse side five narrow grooves, decorative etching on the base. Iron knuckle-bow hilt profusely chiselled with floral and figural ornaments. A counter guard is chiselled with heavy floral and figural open work. Wooden grip bound with twisted iron wires. Flemish or German, circa 1680, length 104 cm. Condition 2+
