A Double-Barrelled Percussion Shotgun by Heinrich Daniel Anschütz

Description: Side-by-side barrels with smooth bores in 15 mm calibre. Silver-inlaid with inscription "Canon Tordu"(shortened). Converted percussion locks sparsely engraved and signed "Anschütz & Sohne/in Suhl". Beautiful walnut half stock with chequered wrist and with en suite-engraved iron mounts. Wooden ramrod with silver tip. Suhl circa 1810, length 117 cm. Iron parts stained. Heinrich Daniel Anschütz (1765-1829) worked in Suhl. Condition 2-
