| Description: | Black lacquered (defects) skull of thin sheet iron with fire gilt mounts. A tall comb bearing embossed decoration on either side of a lion attacking a serpent. Fitted to the front is a double-headed Imperial eagle and heavy-patterned laurel-leaf chinscales rest above the front peak, attached by large gilt lion head bosses. The front and rear peaks are edged with gilt trim. Austria circa 1910, height 28 cm. Condition 2 |
