Name: | An Empire Style Cup and Saucer |
Description: | Porcelain, cylindrical shaped cup with a bracket handle raised on three lion´s paw feet. The outer surface is decorated with raised gold paste ornaments applied over a cobalt blue background. Placed on the front side of the cup is a portrait of Prince Józef Antoni Poniatowski signed lower left "Geÿer". The saucer bears the Polish-Lithuanian Coat of Arms under Wettin dynasty. Both pieces are marked with a triangle with an eye in it in gold underneath with the name "Korzec". Probably France circa 1900, cup height 6.5 cm, saucer diameter 13.5 cm. Condition 1- |
